Claire Lewis (BCAv) - Chair
Hi, I'm Claire, one of the founders of Team 1C and the Chair of the Team 1C Charity. My little boy has bamboozled doctors up and down the country for many years and had a heart transplant in 2021. I began Team 1C to say thank you to Dr Ram at Alder Hey but I am so driven for it to be so much more and I want to be able to help as many cardiac families as much as I can.
David Hutton - Trustee
Hi, I'm Dave, one of the other Team 1C founders and Charity Trustee. Team 1C has been a big part of my life for the past 5 years and I am excited to be part of such a great group of people striving to help other members of the cardiac community. My little girl was under Alder Hey since Day 1 of life so 1C has always been special to me.
Kathryn Reid - Trustee
Hi, I am Kat, I am a registered nurse and Safeguarding lead for Team 1C. I am amazed by everything Team 1C have achieved so far and I am so proud and happy to be part of Team 1C's work going forward.
Zowi Whittaker - Trustee
Hi, I'm Zowi. I have been a member of Team 1C from the beginning and am so proud to be a trustee of this fantastic charity. Both my partner and daughter have a cardiac condition and are under a number of hospitals so I am extremely aware of a lot of the issues that cardiac families face. I have been involved in a lot of the policy development for Team 1C.
Vicky Hughes - Trustee
Hi, I'm Vicky. I am very passionate about Team 1C and about helping cardiac families. We all have to support each other in this scary cardiac world. I am the hostess with the mostess and the Queen of the Team 1C buffet. I have a daughter who has a heart condition and she is doing so well now that I want to see other children thrive and I want to make sure that families get all the help they need along the way.
